Memory of emotions
📌 Teaching objective:
To help students recognize, identify and express emotions through play.
👶 Recommended for:
Early Childhood Education (4 and 5 years old) and 1st Primary
Content:
4 printable PDF sheets with 6 images each. It is recommended to print them horizontally to make the best use of the resource. Cut out all the cards, if they are laminated it is better to be able to manipulate them without breaking them. Another idea is to print them on white cardboard.
Suggestions for use:
1. Classic Memory
All the cards are shuffled face down.
The children pick up two cards in turn and must make pairs.
When they find a pair, they must say the name of the emotion and represent it with their face or body.

2. Mime game
One child chooses a card and mimes the emotion.
The others have to guess what emotion it is.

3. Situation game
The educator reads an everyday situation (e.g., “You drop your ice cream”) and the children must choose which emotion fits best and explain why.

4. Classification of emotions
Groups can be made according to the type of emotion:
- Pleasant / unpleasant emotions
- Intense / mild emotions, etc.
