Football Comparatives and Superlatives

Objective: This resource aims to help ESL teachers teach comparatives and superlatives using the most famous football players as examples. Students will compare different footballers using given adjectives related to footballistic skills.

Description:

The resource comprises 39 cards featuring different football players, including both male and female players. 

Additionally, there are 28 cards containing adjectives related to footballistic skills, such as fast, skilled, agile, experienced, etc.

How to Use:

1. Introduction: Begin by introducing the concept of comparatives and superlatives to the students, explaining the basic rules and examples.

2. Player Comparisons: Divide the students into pairs or small groups. Distribute the football player cards and adjective cards among the groups.

3. Activity: Instruct the students to compare the football players using the given adjectives. They should discuss and decide which player best fits each adjective, forming sentences using comparatives and superlatives.

4. Discussion: Encourage students to justify their choices and engage in discussions about the players' skills and achievements.
