Materials Needed: A large deck of poker cards.

Game Rules:

1. Setup: Divide the class into four groups and assign each group a suit from the deck: hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Each group places the 13 cards of their assigned suit face down in front of them.

2. Turns: Groups take turns. A member of the active group selects a card from their suit and shows it to the opposing group assigned to ask a question.

3. Questions and Answers: The opposing group asks a question related to the card that was selected. If the student answers correctly, their group earns points equal to the value of the card (e.g., an Ace might be worth 1 point, a King 13 points, etc.). If the answer is incorrect, the group loses the points, and the turn moves to the next group.

4. Scoring: Keep a running tally of points earned by each group. You can vary the points depending on the difficulty of the questions to make the game more challenging.

5. Theme Adaptability: The game can be easily adapted for various subjects or themes. For example, for younger students, a theme like "The Animal Kingdom" could be used, including a picture dictionary and a set of quiz questions. For older students, themes like "Phrasal Verbs" or "Historical Events" might be more suitable.
